ULTRAVIOLET RADIATON ABSORBENT UV-329

Chemical Name:  2-(2'-hydroxy-5'-(1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutyl)phenyl)benzotriazole

Introduction:  It is high-efficient light stabilizer, absorbing UV with low volatility, used in polystyrene, Perspex, polyester, Rigid pvc, polycarbonate, ABS resin, etc. It is quite fit for transparent products and engineering plastics processed in high-temperature. It has good cooperative effect when used with anti-oxidant to increase the resistance to climate and heat stability.

Physical Properties: 

Applications: UV-329 is a strong ultraviolet absorber in the 300-400 nm region. It provides effective light stabilization and prevents the yellowing and degradation of polymers such as polyolefins, PVC, unsaturated polyester, acrylics and ABS. It can be used alone or in combination with other stabilizers,such as antioxidants. The use of UV-329 in combination with HALS is particularly noteworthy in that a synergistic performance is often observed.
The use levels of UV-329 range between 0.10-1.0%,depending on substrate and performance requirements of the final application.
